Francie was rescued from a local cat colony along with her mom by Feline and Friends Foundation, when they were both detected with FIV while undergoing a TNR program. At NCAL, she was matched with the most perfect home – with parents who have a very soft spot for FIV+ cats. Today this loving, rambunctious and gorgeous girl is thriving in her new home which she shares with her older brother Fergus, who is also a rescued FIV+ cat.
Together, Francie and Fergus act as ‘spokeskitties’ for shelter pets, especially FIV+ cats. Through their Instagram page, they encourage people considering adoption, to give other pets like them a chance. Besides being social media influencers and keeping their smitten forever mom occupied, they directly help shelters like ours save lives. Just recently, their story helped their mom raise $3,890 for NCAL which was used to set up an account for us with Pet Food Warehouse – thus making a difference for not just the animals of our community who are in need, but also local business during this critical time!
