About Oscar
Oscar just arrived at NCAL and we are still getting to know him! Oscar is quite the pooch with his adorable personality and irresistible looks! Oscar is a sweetheart and once he is comfortable with you, he loves belly scratches and gets so excited for attention. Oscar is a little shy at first with new people as he was only used to one person his entire life, but he is quick to warm up and such a loving, happy little guy. Oscar is a bit of a work in progress and is looking for a foster home to help him shed some pounds, manage his skin and ear infections, and give him a safe and comfortable place while he waits for a dental procedure. Oscar will need to be on a strict low calorie diet and follow our dietary and exercise plan while in foster care. While he is undergoing treatment for his ear infections, he is sensitive towards handling around his face and ears as they are a uncomfortable at this time. Adopters should be aware of this when leashing him up for walks and general handling.
If you are interested in adopting Oscar, please submit an adoption questionnaire below.
Dogs: Oscar has met a few dogs at NCAL and seems to enjoy their company
*If you have another dog, our counselors would be happy to facilitate a “meet-&-greet” here at NCAL to get a sense of how they will get along & provide guidance.
Cats: Unknown history with cats
Children: Oscar would do best with older children as his face and ears are sensitive at this time and he has been reported to be uncomfortable in noisy environments
*When introducing a new pet to your household, an adult should be supervising any interactions with a child or another pet.
