Darla is extremely friendly, always ready to meet her next friend and win their affection! She is all wiggles and kisses. She immediately sits at your feet and looks up at you when greeting you. She just wants to be close to people and get all the cuddles and playtime she can. Darla is a high energy girl and will benefit from an active household. She will do best in a home committed to daily regular exercise and continued training to solidify boundaries. Darla has shown resource guarding around high value items like human food and dog treats. We think this can be managed with the right owner who is dedicated to focusing on meeting Darla’s mental enrichment and physical exercise while monitoring the environment. An experienced dog owner would be most ideal for a successful adoption. She is such an exuberant and fun dog that will bring a little excitement to your life! *We have not had the opportunity to introduce Darla to other dogs in our care.

*If you have another dog, our counselors would be happy to facilitate a “meet-&-greet” here at NCAL to get a sense of how they will get along & provide guidance.

*Darla would do best in a home with out cats.

*Darla would do best in a home with older children, at least 10 years and older.

*When introducing a new pet to your household, an adult should be supervising any interactions with a child or another pet.
