Beginning Wednesday, April 1st and while supplies last, we will be offering a free pet food shelf outside our shelter for anyone in need. Our stock of dog and cat food is from generous community donations collected over the holidays for our homeless animals at the shelter. We have decided that there are many in our community who may need this support most right now in order to feed their pets. We hope to continue this service for as long as possible and are asking for those who wish to donate to do so online and having it directly delivered to our shelter (visit our Amazon Food Shelf Wishlist) or by leaving unopened bags or cans of dog and cat food within the glass foyer of the shelter.
The food shelf will be available outside North Country Animal League (16 Mountain View Meadow Drive, Morrisville) Tuesdays through Saturdays from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm and we kindly ask that those using this service help us out by practicing social distancing and taking turns visiting the pet food shelf by waiting in your car while others are shopping, and staying at least 6 feet from anyone else (except those you live with). The pet food shelf will use the honor system, so we ask that you please take no more than what you need to feed your pet(s) for 2-3 weeks. We hope to continue offering this service for as long as possible as supplies last. Thank you for your understanding!
