Open Houses

Families are invited to an open house at the shelter one Saturday each month to take a tour, visit the animals and enjoy the environment while tasting some cookies and punch. There are always balloons for the kids and usually a surprise treat.

 

Children’s Awesome Animal Adventure Camp

Join us at NCAL for an unforgettable experience as we learn about animals around the world and their unique habitats. Meet our animal visitors, create crafts to take home, and play fun and exciting games. Other Outreach Activities

NCAL volunteers also take therapy animals to elder care facilities to spread the joy of holding and loving animals to those who may no longer be able to have one of their own.

NCAL is also a resource for the Laraway School and Lamoille County Mental Health Services.

NCAL hosts at least four low cost spay/neuter days for the public throughout the year. The next one will be held October 18. For information and to sign up, call (802) 888-5065, Ext. 101 Places are limited.

NCAL is also the focal point for reporting animal cruelty in Lamoille County. Just call (802) 888-5065, Ext. 105 and your information will be forwarded to the appropriate animal control officer for handling. NCAL always follows up on the cruelty reports to ensure the situation has been resolved and the animal is safe.
